At Last, the Finale! Anime ULTRAMAN FINAL Season released in May!

ULTRAMAN Concludes With 12 New Episodes! Main Visual and Release Date Confirmed! New Scene Photos and New Characters Released!

Since its debut on Netflix in 2019, the ULTRAMAN anime has gained high popularity, not only in Japan, but also among fans internationally. Nominated for “Best Direction – TV/Media” at the 47th Annie Awards, the series also won the “Best CG Award for TV and Streaming Programs – Animation” at the VFX-JAPAN Awards 2020. It has received critical acclaim both in Japan and across the world, and its second season, which was released in 2022, also became a smash hit worldwide.

It has been announced that the final season, fittingly called ULTRAMAN FINAL Season, which is scheduled for worldwide exclusive streaming on Netflix, will start on May 11th 2023 JST. The series has been expanded from the previous season, consisting of 12 episodes, all of which will be released simultaneously worldwide.

The main visual, revealed here, features the caption ‘I am Ultraman’ and portrays the main character Shinjiro Hayata (ULTRAMAN) facing the viewer, ready to fight for his own justice as Ultraman. The visual also includes the phantom of the original Ultraman, and is located in front of the Science Special Search Party (SSSP) base, calling back to the fateful battle where Ultraman fell, decades before.

Furthermore, newly released scene photos reveal that Daisuke Arashi, a former colleague of Shinjiro’s father Shin Hayata, in the Science Special Search Party (SSSP), will also appear in the final season. Daisuke Arashi is a sharpshooter who has defeated many monsters and aliens, and was responsible for felling the last monster, Zetton, with a Zero-Gravity Bullet. Hideo Ishikawa has been announced as the voice actor for this character.

Like the previous seasons, ULTRAMAN FINAL Season will be filled with plenty of homages to tokusatsu works. Please look forward to more updates leading up to the finale of the series!
