We finish off day 2 of New York Comic Con 2022 with an autograph session by the talented manga creators, Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi whose work inspired the anime ULTRAMAN on Netflix. Both guests made their way to the front booth of the autograph hall where the crowds that gathered cheered as they got settled in.
The line formed had to loop around to prevent traffic from blocking the walkway. We can see the excitement from the fans eagerly waiting to meet the two artists to get their free copy of ULTRAMAN, Vol. 1 personally signed and have their pictures taken. The books were furnished by VIZ Media as a part of the Ultraman awareness juggernaut crossing the entire convention throughout the weekend.
The positive response to Viz Media’s ULTRAMAN manga brought heartfelt smiles to Shimizu and Shimoguchi seeing that their reimagined characters are accepted and loved by the fans, old and new.
The Ultraman Manga Series can be found on VIZ Media’s website, comic book shops across the country, online retailers like Amazon or Bookshop.org, and bookstores including Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, RightStuf, and Walmart to name a few
