Ultraman Arc has ended, but the lives of the people inside the series go on. For this penultimate entry in Shu Ishido’s diary, we return to the calm before the storm, with the threat of Ze Su’s great offensive on the horizon…
Date: xx/xx

It’s been about two weeks since the whole incident involving the Man in the White Mask.
According to the GDF, their investigation has continued but there haven't been any new discoveries.
Being sent into a reality different from this one is a terrifying and hard to forget experience, but I wonder if we will ever get to know the details about it.
The kaiju incidents in Hoshimoto City have also been reduced to nearly none recently.
At first we were glad to enjoy a few peaceful days, but now we are mostly working on a few non-urgent documents in silence, waiting for the hotline to ring, which has introduced us to a completely new form of “exhaustion.”
With the five us in the same room together with so much time on our hands, naturally we’ve been making, chit-chat more often.
Today, after seeing me pour I don’t even know how many cups of coffee, we started to discuss our hobbies.
Thanks to an invite from her friend, Rin has been taking embroidery classes near the train station.
The Chief is digitalizing and organizing the pictures and videos from the Shiba Inu he used to have.
YouPi seems to have started to become interested in live streams, but Rin immediately warned him it might be dangerous, so he should stop. When that happened, I got the feeling everyone was looking at me, but it might just be my imagination.
And Yuma, just like before, said he had no hobbies.
When we pressured him, saying there was no way he had absolutely no hobbies at all, he told us he confessed he liked to draw as a child and even took a few classes.
Though he did say he doesn’t draw anymore… I would really like to see one of his drawings.
I personally don’t draw. Or should I say “can’t” draw. People really have their own strengths and weaknesses, don’t they?
When I was a student, I did dabble in sculpting, but it just ended up confirming that I have absolutely no talent as an artist.
Besides, the incident that had sparked it… No, I shouldn’t. Carelessly writing down this kind of thing isn’t right. Just like my arm’s injury, there’s a lot more things I have not written about.
Anyway, more than actually working on my sculpture, what stayed with me the most were the words my teacher told me:
Simply creating something with a form is not art. Deeply loving something and using it to reflect the richness of your heart, that in itself is art.
Which is why my hobbies, such as coffee and mystery novels are, without a doubt, art for me.
I spoke about all these argumentative points with everyone when we were bored, got a bit carried away and asked Yuma: “So, what is it that you love? What is art to you?”. He was a bit confused and replied “I think it’s my job at SKIP.” with a smile on his face.
Rin laughed and said it was a very Yuma-like response. I laughed as well.
Then, we all went back to work.

I reopened the document to send to ArcFam.
Maybe it was due to the talks from earlier, but as I organized Arc’s pictures and videos, I was enthralled by his heroic figure.
Releasing several beams, standing with the Arc Eye Sword in hand, his pose when shooting the Arc Finalize…
His solemn form when wearing the Solis, Luna or Galaxy Armor…
Is this also… Art?
I had always felt that, but revisiting it once again made that feeling stronger.
I understand this is an inappropriate way to look at a hero that puts his life on the line when fighting for us, I cannot help but feel this way.
When I think about it, time has passed so quickly since I first met Ultraman Arc.
On that day, after he saved my life and as I looked up at the arc he had left in the sky, I swore I would eventually express my gratitude.
After that, I have been saved by him many more times, but had no chance to ever talk to him directly. So I haven’t been able to fulfill my promise.
No one knows when he will appear again.
Even I am not sure until when I’ll be able to stay in Hoshimoto City, as this is up to the GDF HQ.
If there is a chance, however, I’ll make sure to tell him: “Thank you, Ultraman Arc.”
