Kaiju Brooklyn 2 is less than a month away! The East Coast’s newest, greatest convention of all things Kaiju and Tokusatsu starts on May 31st at Industry City in Brooklyn, New York — and Ultraman Connection is going to be there!
Organized by BrooklynONE Productions and friend of UC, John “Robo7” Bellotti Jr., Kaiju Brooklyn crashed into Industry City like a rampaging monster, and showed the world that the East Coast and New York love Kaiju. There were vendors, panels, and even a special screening of Shin Ultraman!
Nine months after that smashing success, Kaiju Brooklyn is BACK, and so big that it couldn’t fit on just one day! Across Friday May 31st and June 1st, attendees will have a chance to experience some tokusatsu action like nowhere else in America!
While there are dozens of incredible events and vendors — too many for us to bring up in a single piece — we wanted to highlight some of the things we’re most excited to see (and participate in) out of everything!
Firstly, the Dealer’s Room! There will be plenty of sellers offering incredible merchandise from not just the US and Japan, but even incredible designer products, like our friends at Seismic Toys! (If you haven’t seen their gorgeous new Shin Gomess figure, check it out HERE)
Next, screenings! Plenty of stories from decades of amazing Kaiju storytelling will be available across both days, but the can’t-miss event to check out is the House of Ultraman, which will show off Robo7’s Ultraman artwork while screening episodes of fan-favorite Ultraman Tiga!
Come Friday night, that’s when UC fans will get a really special surprise, as the VIP afterparty begins. Join us — and we mean us — at Brooklyn Kura, where Jeff Gomez, Evangelia Artemis, and EJ Couloucoundis of Ultraman Connection will be hosting a special panel before a screening of Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy: the Movie!
